At 6 am we already left for Kalbarri National Park. The road was a dirt road, so where there is no hard surface (yet). There are loads of dirt roads in Australia and also everywhere in Karijini NP. First we did a bush walk: the Z-bend. Here we had the option of abseiling. That is descending a cliff by using a rope. I had no desire to try this. I had decided on beforehand not to join any optional activities, because the tour was expensive enough already. We encountered a super large spider. After the break at the Murchison River we climbed back up, seriously tiring climb. We went to the lookout and after that Nature’s Window.
Dan zijn we naar stromateolieten gegaan, de oudst levende organismen op aarde.
After that we went to the stromatolites, the oldest living organisms on earth.
Tot slot zijn we naar Shell Beach gegaan, een van de langste schelpstranden ter wereld.
To end with we went to Shell Beach, one of the largest shell beaches in the world.

Weer overnachting in een hostel aan zee, in Denham deze keer. Daar was een bar met bizarre mensen.
Again overnight stay at a hostel by the sea, in Denham this time. There was a bar with bizarre people.
